The area includes special landscape, environmental and heritage features.
The Hasting District Council has begun a Plan Change process which will determine the most appropriate form of development and protection for the beach. This will involve widespread public consultation and we trust the information on Ocean Beach we have commissioned, and are making available to the community, will assist in this important process.
